A medieval walled town perched above a turquoise bay. Arguably the most beautiful town on the Costa Brava, and reachable directly from Maresme by the Dofi Jet catamaran.

Sacred mountain, monastery & spectacular hiking
A Benedictine monastery perched 1,236m up on a jagged mountain of surreal rock formations. Home to the famous Black Madonna (La Moreneta) and the Escolania boys' choir — one of the oldest in Europe. An unforgettable day trip.

L'Escolania performs at 13:00 (Mon–Fri) in the basilica. One of the oldest choirs in Europe. Arrive early for a seat.
Several trails from the monastery, including the climb to Sant Jeroni (1,236m) — the highest peak. Allow 2.5–3 hours round trip.

Girona, Dalí Museum & Penedès wine country
A stunning medieval city famous for its colourful riverside houses, ancient Jewish Quarter, and Game of Thrones filming locations. Smaller and more walkable than Barcelona, with incredible food and architecture.
